Dashboard
What the dashboard shows, which widgets need which plan, and how personas change the layout.
The dashboard () is the first page you see after signing in. Every role can open it. It is a grid of widgets built from your organization's runs, deployments and findings.
Widgets
| Widget | Shows | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Key metrics | Headline numbers for your runs | Every plan |
| Quick insights | Short notes on trends in your runs | Every plan |
| Recent pipelines | The latest runs, linked to the Pipelines page | Every plan |
| Activity | Recent runs and events, as on the Activity page | Every plan |
| Performance | This period compared with the previous one | Every plan |
| DORA metrics | The four DORA metrics | Plans with DORA analytics |
| Failure patterns | Failures by category | Plans with failure patterns |
You only see widgets your plan includes and that have data to show, so the grid has no empty cells.
Personas
A persona is a preset layout of widgets. Prodgator picks one from your role: Executive Overview for admins and readers, DevOps Manager for editors, and Platform Engineer for operators.
On the Team plan and above, editors and admins can switch persona from the button at the top right. Security Focus is listed for people who can read security data. The choice lasts until you reload the page.
| Persona | Focus |
|---|---|
| Executive Overview | High-level metrics, DORA metrics and performance |
| Platform Engineer | Activity, failure patterns and performance |
| DevOps Manager | Deployments, activity and performance |
| Security Focus | Failures and security-related activity |
Widgets from a prompt
You can also ask for a chart in plain words and add it to the dashboard. See Build a widget from a prompt.
